The BIBLE Tour de France

If you never heard of that project, just know it is just the realisation of a dream!

Few years ago, the Lord clearly spoke to me asking to evangelize my nation using that fantastic event that is the famous yearly biking Tour de France.

It became a reality July 2007 as the race began from London.

With an international team, most of the members being from the Johan Maasbasch World Mission in The Hague-NEDERLAND, we follow the race from London till Marseille.

In 2 weeks, we ministered in 20 different places, visiting 17 Churches connected to 10 different denominations, having thousands of contacts... Some of the people meet discovered faith in Jesus and are now felloshipping in local Churches to grow...

Our second edition bring us from Brest to Paris! How it was great to stand on one of the famoust avenue in the world just 100 meters from the finish line in Paris! We were proud to hang our banner and to give our flyer with local Churches to the people! According 2 millions people were there.

During 20 days, on 8 000km (5500miles) we follow the famous bikes race one more time. With an international team, we were present on 15 stages cities. We stand on the start and the finish lines with our banner and meet the spectators, the organisers as the bikers themselves proposing leaflets with international but also local references explaining how you can be a winner. 27000 flyers have been given, 5 every miles !! We pray also for some people here and there on the road.

22 Churches from 10 different denominations were involved and we had evening meetings in 13 Churches; it is incredible to realize the so many different talents we find in this Church of France ! It gave us a nice glimpse about the Body of Christ! Most of them open not only their heart but also their houses to provide accommodation for the team. We can thank God for all these things we experimented during these days! Don't you dream to be part of such an experience? Are you call only to pray for France?
